The KOUKLA Process.

We are a bridal atelier entrenched with the philosophy of creating beautifully bespoke, couture design that is intrinsically, you.

With nearly 20 years of experience refining our multi-faceted bridal process, we offer all clients a full scope process that is equally collaborative and a reflection of real-life romance. This process is broken down into four key areas: initial consultation, in depth quote development, fittings and final handover.

What to expect;

The initial consultation is where your couture vision, be it lustrous silk or Avant- Garde style tulle becomes a transient reality. This involves a one-on-one consultation with Lead Designer and Founder, Natasha Prestidge, as well as the in-depth research process done post visit, such as the sourcing of swatches from leading Australian and International fabric houses relative to your couture gown. Moreover, your initial consultation allows us to give you an accurate dressmaker’s quotation, which is factored into your deposit payment. Within this stage our goal is to ensure that your dress and the viability from a cost perspective is of utmost transparency, allowing you to focus on the romantic, celebratory details of your special occasion.

Once you’ve accepted our quote, we will ask you to attend your fitting days to perfectly tailor your gown. At your first fitting with Natasha, measurements will be taken, you’ll select your fabric samples and Natasha can assist you in achieving the highly personalised final vision of bridal journey from a holistic standpoint; advising on overall aesthetic and accessories such as jewellery and hair.

And finally, after months of creativity, collaboration and of course, enjoyment, you’ll receive your custom KOUKLA gown, perfectly encased in our custom garment bags along with a personalised memento to reflect on your atelier journey with us. During the unveiling, you will have the opportunity to try the dress on a final time in our studio and make any final minor tweaks - no detail spared or idea unexplored.
